Stunning location, we've found a new home from home

What a stunningly hospitable cottage, we love every minute. It really felt like a home away from home. Extremely comfortable and everything you need to have a relaxing stay and rest yourself. Spa facilities are amazing and we all utilised the gym, pool, steam room, and sauna each morning as part of our 'routine'! We also had a fantastic evening with our DineIndulge experience. The courses were perfect and delicious . The local area too provided a peaceful serenity for contemplation and relaxation as well as great local pubs and walks. We can't wait to come back!

The Perfect Retreat

Once again we had the most wonderful week at Cornerstone Cottage. The cottage itself is so charming and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Our 16 month old daughter adored visiting the ducks from the patio every morning. The peace and tranquility of the cottage location is just incredible. The Spa is outstanding, having recently been renovated and is just a few minutes walk away. We keep coming back to Cornerstone and have loved it every time. Thank you Tim and Vanessa Norman

Great for families or couples!

We’ve stayed at Cornerstone on three separate occasions and it has never disappointed! We love the cosy cottage feel but still plenty of space. The patio is great for al fresco dining with a great bbq. We stayed here this time with another family and the setting is ideal. The Spa is 5 star and recently refurbished. Great for families or couples.

Lovely cottage on a lovely estate.

Lovely cottage situated on a lovely estate. This was our first time in the Cotswolds. The estate where the cottage is located is ideal for traveling the local area. The house itself is ideal with multiple bathrooms including one downstairs. The kitchen was well equipped and there were handy guides dotted around with info on how to use different devices, heating, hot water etc. The estate itself offers a lot of leisure activities, especially water based. The cottage is excellent, lovely private location, excellent decking area. Tim & Vanessa are fantastic hosts, sent lots of information and were always on hand to answer questions.

Great stay - location on Lower Mill Estate is fantastic.

We just had a great stay at Cornerstone Cottage. Its location on Lower Mill Estate is fantastic. My kids spent every evening playing football or in the playground nearby. We also loved the pools, tennis and water sports. The cottage itself is lovely and met all our needs. The air conditioning was particularly nice during this warm summer, as well as all of the good sized bathrooms. Tim and Vanessa provided excellent instructions, were proactive and very responsive when we had a couple of hiccups. The welcome basket was also much appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Cornerstone Cottage for a 60th birthday. We had a mixture of ages and all were so happy. I could not fault the owners who communicated so well and always available. We found our rooms and entire place faultless. We thoroughly enjoyed all the facilities on site too (including the lovely spa). 10/10. We would recommend!

Perfect for Cotswolds daytripping & Delightful BBQ as the sun set.

We had a wonderful stay at Cornerstone Cottage over 3 days in summer. Just as described and shown, an extremely well appointed cottage with 4 bedrooms & a wonderful open living & kitchen area. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was clean and with all facilities needed including crockery, cutlery and cooking essentials (for adults and kids). Sofas seem to have been recently replaced and are very comfy. The air conditioning was a great benefit in summer. We used the outdoor space for BBQ which was delightful as the sun set. No dedicated garden, but the Lower Mill estate has so much space for families to run around and explore. We booked the outdoor spa pool which was wonderful for afternoon cool-downs. Location is perfect for Cotswolds daytripping. Tim & Vanessa provide SO much information and help in advance, it's easy to make the most of the space and facilities. Welcome packs are generous and we used everything up. Such a thoughtful experience, we hope to come again!

Perfect place to escape the heat during the recent heat wave! Having air conditioning was so nice! The amenities included with the house (pools, spa, lake activities) are also great! Tim and Vanessa were extremely accommodating and made me feel right at home. They also had a really nice welcome gift too! Would definitely book with them again!

Beautiful & quiet place -a pity we stayed only 2 nights.

Beautiful and quiet place. its a pity we stayed only 2 nights. A couple of ducks will come to your door every morning. we saw more ducks, squirrels and rabbits while throwing the trash. I read u could see beavers too but pity we didn't have time to explore. Tim & Vanessa are super friendly and proactive in engaging with us on what to expect and activities we can do within the area. I would recommend this house. I would love to come back again.

We stayed for the weekend at Cornerstone Cottage and would definitely recommend it to others. Lower Mill Estate is a beautiful location and the facilities (pools, spa, activities centre etc) were wonderful. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and spacious, with a really lovely welcome hamper and lots of support and information readily available from the hosts.

We had a lovely stay as two families with four children. The cottage is really well equipped and bedrooms are spacious for everyone. Location is fantastic with lots of activities on hand and everything is walkable. We hope to be back in the summer to make the most of the outdoor pool and lakes Highly recommend

Cornerstone cottage is set in the most amazing surroundings.

Cornerstone cottage is set in the most amazing surroundings. It's peaceful and tranquil with some lovely wildlife and birds. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and very homely. If you follow the instructions Tim and Vanessa provide you with, you will find it no problem (unfortunately we did not ). Tim was extremely responsive to a couple of minor issues we had, which were then sorted in a couple of days. We were offered a very flexible check-in and check out time, which was much appreciated. A lovely welcome pack was also waiting for us when we arrived. We have had a lot of rain recently so there was a bit of flooding around the park, but that didn't stop us donning on the wellies and making the most of the beautiful surroundings. We even braved the outdoor pool! All in all a lovely holiday, with the most attentive hosts, thoroughly recommend.

It was a pleasure to spend Christmas at Tim & Vanessa’s cottage, was cosy and festive. Kitchen very well equipped and enough space for us all. The complex was beautiful and the pool/spa was an excellent addition for us and the kids. I’m sure the water activities are brilliant in the warmer months with all the lakes it’s set around. Very peaceful and our hosts were excellent. Thank you!

Cornerstone was a beautiful cottage to stay at. All the Cotswolds villages were within driving distance. The kitchen was very generously equipped. Tim and Vanessa were amazing hosts, extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend staying at cornerstone!

Cosy Cottage in super-peaceful area with homey Christmas decorations.

A beautiful home with a lot of space and great surroundings. I came here to celebrate my birthday and my friends and I had such a great time in this cottage - super cosy, the Christmas decorations were so homey, and the area is super peaceful. Tim and Vanessa were responsive and accommodating, any questions I had were answered immediately. The location is amazing, Cirencester was only a 13 minute drive away but there was no need to leave the cottage as in the area there was loads to do (including spa activities which you’re given 2 passes for by the hosts). Overall, would 100% recommend. Thank you both for the amazing stay!

A wonderful cosy & comfortable November stay at Cornerstone Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Cornerstone Cottage in November. The property was in great condition, very clean and made for a cosy and comfortable stay. Facilities on the estate are well maintained and we made good use of the pool and spa facilities. Comms ahead of and during the stay were top notch, and the check in/ out was all straight forward. Would certainly stay again.

Booked a girls weekend and had the most relaxing and peaceful stay

Booked a girls weekend and had the most relaxing and peaceful stay at the cottage. It was a great escape from our daily hectic lives. The location was 100% as the spa was in walking distance which was included in our stay. The house was very clean and everything was easy to find. There is a log burner which was a key point for us as we’re now in the colder months so it added a special touch and made us more relaxed. Tim and Vanessa were very friendly and helpful and had great communication about the booking. Looking to book again in the future.

This house makes a lovely base for a holiday in this area. Close to Cirencester with its ancient streets and charming shops and north stretches the whole of the Cotswold area. The park itself is ideal for those wanting an outdoor holiday with water based activities and beautiful walks. We especially valued the outdoor village pool which does not require booking. It was heated to a good temperature and was quite comfortable to use at the end of October and if you want to avoid a bracing walk the changing area is heated and warm.

The restaurant onsite was reasonable with a live music night one night (shout out to michael). The spa swimming pool onsite was excellent, but could only be used for one hour a day (pre booking required) … there’s another pool for general access & thus would be one criticism of the site, as it was very chlorinated & cloudy The house was a great base, 2 double rooms & 2 rooms with bunk beds. Lovely lounge & kitchen. The decking area was a bit tired but still a space with utilized a lot to come back & chill, and we did a bbq. Overall I would 100% recommend for a peaceful yet active holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The owners were incredibly friendly and responsive.There was plenty to do on site at the Activity Hub, including biking, rowing boats, and even laser clay shooting, which made the stay even more fun and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with great hospitality and outdoor activities!

We have just had the most fabulous stay at Cornerstone Cottage. I would highly recommend this place. It was perfect for kids with lots of things to do. The free pool and spa pass was great and we liked the option of the heated outdoor pool too, even if it was December. The cottage was so well equipped and Tim and Vanessa were excellent hosts and extremely friendly and helpful. It’s such a beautiful place to stay, it made our new year extra special. Definitely 5 star!

Wonderful get away with friends over Twixmas. The cottage was perfect. Tim & Vanessa couldn’t have done more to make our stay exactly what we needed.

From the minute we booked the communication and attention to detail was amazing. A brochure booklet was sent to our address, fully detailing all the facilities available on the Lower Mill Estate. This was more of a hardback book than a brochure and we've never received anything like this before an airbnb booking before! The house provided all that was needed for 2 families of 4 with equal rooms on offer. The house had lots of generous extras which was really appreciated. The location was beautiful with scenic walks and 3 pools. One indoor heated pool and even an outdoor pool that we used in October! We are looking forward to coming back again. We definitely want to try the family paddleboarding! Thank you Tim and Vanessa.

Our experience at this cottage for my Dad’s birthday was absolutely phenomenal! The warmth and coziness of the place made it a perfect winter getaway. The thoughtful hamper upon arrival, filled with delicious snacks, added a sweet touch to our stay. Tim’s proactive call a week before the booking demonstrated top-notch customer service, and the swimming pool facilities were nothing short of fantastic, making our celebration even more memorable. Highly, highly recommend this gem for a delightful and positive retreat!

We did enjoy our time at cornerstone cottage. The lower mills park is beautiful, and the cottage has all you need. We are a family of 5 and it had plenty of room for us. Tim & Vanessa were very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the park and the area. Some local food & drinks were even provided when we arrived. I would definitely recommend the place to others

Cottage brilliantly kitted out and location a great find

This was a great spot and our group had a wonderful weekend away. Tim & Vanessa were very helpful, communicative and available to us before and during the stay. The cottage was brilliantly kitted out and the location was a great find. We ate at couple of local places and used a taxi service on their recommendation list - so was very easy to make our trip enjoyable. Facilities on the site were great and the other visitors and staff friendly and helpful. It’s a popular and busy place, but we were still able to enjoy a peaceful and fun stay that suited us. 10/10 would visit again.

Lovely couple of summer weeks with family & friends incl. mixed teenagers.

We enjoyed a lovely couple of weeks in this charming cosy cottage - with family & friends - including mixed teenagers. The open plan living space was very comfortable- with enough sofa space for everyone (a rarity), and a nice decking area overlooking the pretty water gardens and surrounding cottages. The bedrooms might not be particularly spacious but with 2 en-suites and the main shower room - the space was well thought out and has the added convenience of air conditioning. Within the Lower Mill Estate - the cottage is perfectly situated for accessing the boating lakes and outdoor pool/sauna, tennis & table tennis - with a short stroll to the spa/more pools & yoga teepee, tennis courts, restaurant and more. We also enjoyed walking to the local sculpture park (which is delightful) and a fabulous group session of archery & shooting at The Cotswold Range - which is fabulous, well taught and includes fun games. I would totally recommended those as well as Cornerstone Cottage.

Book this place now! Wonderful Stay

My family of 4 adults stayed here. It did not disappoint! Tim & Victoria are perfect hosts and the communication is great. They provide a lot of useful info to plan and stay at their home.. even have an app & book. Although they tried very hard to explain where to park to drop off our things, we failed...but it’s ok. Once you found the home, it was easy after that. They left many goodies to enjoy. Thank you! Their kitchen is well-stocked and has a Nespresso machine with a milk frother. I loved the frother so much I just bought one for our home. They provided many coffee capsules to start you off. I haven’t used a Nespresso machine before but after googling it I was on my way! The electrical outlets have on/off switches so if the appliance isn’t working check to make sure the switch is on. The wifi was great. We used the dishwasher, washer/dryer with no problems (Soap goes in the double bar section of washer). We ate at the Ballihoo restaurant our first night..yummy. They have a small store there to pick up food supplies. Had a massage & facial at the spa..so relaxing. Enjoyed the Half Day Rally Experience @ Cotswold Driving Experiences..so fun! 10-course dinner with Dine Indulge at their home..worth it! We rented an electric car, charging station only a few min away and FREE. It is so beautiful there..highly recommend!

A wonderful weekend had with friends - highly recommend a stay at Cornerstone Cottage! We were 2 families with 4 children aged 7 - 10 so the kids bunk beds set up worked perfectly. We were blown away by the beauty of the setting and felt instantly welcomed by all the comforts and thoughtful provisions from Vanessa and Tim. The welcome hamper with fizz, jam and salad dressing was a real treat and we were delighted to find coffee pods, bbq coals and all cleaning products - a very well equipped AirBnB! Amenities surpassed expectations - outdoor spa pool is stunning (families until 5pm) and children spent majority of time in the other family pool. All pools were heated - except for eco pool among the reeds - only for the brave! 🙂 Paddleboarding on the lakes was a real highlight! We enjoyed delicious take-out pizzas on-site while the children played football/ in park. The restaurant menu looked lovely though we didn’t eat in. A fantastic discovery - will be back! Thank you!

Tim and Vanessa were exceptional hosts- they could not be more helpful and accommodating. The cottage was perfect- it was cosy for our family of 8 but everyone had ample sleeping and storage space and all our needs were met perfectly. The cottage is in an absolutely beautiful and charming location- we visited in February- we can only imagine that it must be heavenly in the summer months! Our children were delighted to make friends with the family of ducks who visited cottage often! We really look forward to visiting again.

Spent a lovely few days with the family at Cornerstone cottage. Tim & Vanessa’s place is very welcoming and comfortable. It is both practical and stylish with kid friendly furniture, and a warm feeling. There is lots of space for people to come together in the big open plan living area, or for people to get some quiet time to their self in the jacuzzi bath, or on the upstairs balcony with a book. There are loads of things to do in the estate, and you’ll easily get your 10,000 steps in as you stroll around the lakes and parkland. The kids playgrounds were very good, and adults could enjoy a nice coffee from the restaurant while watching their little ones play. Overall perfect for a short stay in the beautiful cotswolds.

We had a lovely stay at Tim and Vanessa’s property. It had all things necessary for a relaxing stay including lovely, comfortable beds. Communication was excellent and queries quickly answered - the cutlery basket is actually a pull out tray at the top of the dishwasher! Kids were impressed with the speed of the internet and enjoyed the tennis courts and swimming pool. One thing we were surprised about was although the lake area was extensive, there were few views along the way with lots of vegetation either side of the paths. Overall though we had an enjoyable stay, there is plenty to do and it is a very comfortable cottage.

We’ve just enjoyed a wonderful week at Cornerstone Cottage - the house is well equipped, clean and the air-conditioning was a God-send during the heatwave. Tim and Vanessa are excellent hosts, responding quickly to our queries, and the local pools, lake and bike paths kept us and our kids entertained all week.

Cornerstone cottage is set in a beautiful area of the site. Tranquil and quaint area overlooking a small stream/ pond with lots of wildlife. The facilities are absolutely perfect for a family and well equipped The site is lovely, and the small restaurant serves wonderful food, just make sure you book in advance! The local pub also does great food too! We utilised the outdoor pool, spa and gym facilities. Tennis courts and Muga pitch, again ensure you book but Tim and Vanessa provided us all the info well in advance and lots of supporting information too. They have been extremely thoughtful and caring with their property and would recommend

Highly recommend Cornerstone Cottage as a lovely place

I highly recommend Cornerstone Cottage as a lovely place to stay. We were two families (4 adults and 4 children) but there was plenty of space for everyone and the house had everything that we needed. Having the log burner was especially nice when it was miserable outside. The onsite playground and swimming pool were great for the kids (3-8 years old), although I recommend that you book your swimming slot as soon as possible as it became fully booked very quickly. Tim and Vanessa are wonderful (super)hosts. They replied to all queries very quickly and were very accommodating and helpful. They even sent out a book about the house and suggestions for local area, which was very much appreciated. The welcome hamper was a very thoughtful touch too. From booking all the way to checking-out, everything was pleasant and straight forward.

It was really easy to book this stay at Cornerstone cottage. Tim and Vanessa were great at communicating, which made check in and initial food shop delivery very easy to organise. We really appreciated the little touches and how considerate they were in providing kitchen essentials such as good quality tea and coffee, a delicious welcome hamper, and even fire logs for the wood burning stove. The cottage was a comfortable place for eight friends to stay for a weekend in March. The king sized beds could be separated into singles and the bunk beds were comfortable enough. The cottage is part of a holiday home estate with many other cottages nearby, but we saw few guests and we did not feel crowded. The whole estate was peaceful and we did not have any issues with noise. The spa was busier with children and families in the pool, but numbers were controlled and we were able to enjoy the steam room and sauna with the included spa pass. The outdoor pool was a delight. Overall this cottage suited our desire to be in the Cotswolds but also able to access a spa and good local pubs. We thought the price was very fair, and overall were very pleased with the booking.

Such a pleasant place to stay for a not so relaxing weekend! Plenty of activities to get involved with, we hired canoes, kayaks, booked into the spa, swam in the pools and had lots of fun in the playgrounds. Never a dull moment and our children slept so well at the end of each day. The house itself is extremely well equipped, with everything needed for a nice stay. The houses are a little densely packed together on first impression, however, we were there on Easter weekend and you don’t feel you’re on top of each other at all. With well designed sight lines and private spaces.

Cornerstone Cottage is such a great find. We have had the best time. We went for a family event and could not have been more impressed with not only the cottage but the whole setting. The facilities on site are incredible and there is so much to to do for not only little ones but adults too. Tim and Vanessa leave you with spa passes to access the pools which were heated and perfect for the kids. The site outdoor pool is also just as lovely and perfect on a sunny day. The staff on site were all so helpful and friendly and we had great fun taking out a canoe! The cottage itself is situated in a perfect spot; close to the on site restaurant (serves a selection of lovely drinks and food!) and the activity hub. There are some very friendly ducks that like to come and say hello which was so lovely for the kids. Tim and Vanessa were so helpful throughout our stay and any questions we had, they responded immediately. The book they sent out to us prior was packed full of fantastic recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The cottage itself was perfect. It has everything you’d need and more! The attention to detail was noted and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. We would highly recommend this wonderful place and we will definitely be coming back again. The only downside is that we didn’t have longer there!

Cornerstone Cottage is a fantastic house in an amazing location. Tim and Vanessa were great at communicating prior to our stay and everything went very smoothly. The sun deck outside was a real treat, but I imagine the wood burner in the lounge is lovely in the winter. We hired paddle boards and took them out on the nearby lake and a couple of us enjoyed spa treatments. On our second night we tried the Bakers Arms as recommended and it was lovely too - really welcoming staff and delicious food. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

We used the spa swimming pool twice and had an amazing meal cooked by a private chef whilst we were there (recommended by Tim and Vanessa). Overall a really great stay and we would definitely recommend the house.

Everything was perfect and would definitely recommend this as a place to come to stay. Lots to do - walks, tennis, table tennis, spa, swimming pool. Inside the house it was very cosy, the log fire was definitely a highlight. All bedrooms were very clean and two of them had en-suites. Kitchen was very practical and well equipped with everything you need. There is a big table which is nice for group meals. The treats left for when we arrived were a nice touch. Superb Cottage for Cotswolds Visit

Lovely cottage in a managed estate complex, the cottage was immaculate and the communication was superb from Vanessa & Tim. The facilities on site are superb with three swimming pools, two heated outdoors which due to the lovely weather we used daily. There are several small children's play areas and open spaces.We found it child friendly, and our 3 year old loved it. There are easy walks around the lakes on the complex and it makes a superb base of operations for visiting the Cotswold's. Highly recommended and we had a great time.

A cosy cottage stay with friends

I stayed at this gorgeous cottage late November for an annual pre-Christmas reunion with old university friends. It is beautiful inside and the complimentary prosecco on arrival was a lovely, welcoming touch. It was so cozy especially with the wood-burner on which was perfect for that time of year. It has two large double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and two smaller bedrooms with bunk beds opposite the main bathroom. Leading up to our stay, we were extremely well informed and on leaving the cottage, there were no issues or delays with our security deposit. The cottage itself is excellent with everything you’d need in terms of utensils, crockery, pans etc. During our stay we had a lovely walk around the countryside around the complex; the complex itself is designed for families more so than groups of friends and so we avoided the spa area as there were lots of families using the pool. Nevertheless, it did not bother us as we went off site to explore other areas in the Cotswolds. An enjoyable stay and so we would recommend to others.

Perfect destination for rest and relaxation

My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times, a while ago before we had our first child and more recently with our little girl. On both occasions the cottage itself, as well as the facilities at the Lower Mill Estate, provided us with all we needed. The cottage had all we wanted/needed from a smart TV through to a travel cot and the complimentary prosecco on arrival was obviously welcome! The spa was fantastic and the plunge pool outdoors was good for dares, but perhaps only in the summer! Overall it is a great blend of homeliness and luxury.

The Cotswolds Hidden Gem

We visited this cottage in December for a weekend away with the family before Christmas and we were not disappointed. The welcome pack of champagne and shortbread biscuits were much appreciated after a long drive. We immediately got the fire roaring which made the cottage even cosier. The cottage was clean and homely with everything you would need. The grounds are stunning and the use of the spa was just what we needed on the Sunday with some dreary weather. The kids absolutely loved the cottage and the grounds and have demanded that we return in the summer. This was a great little find and everything was made so much easier with great communication from the owners before we arrived. Thank you for letting us stay at you beautiful cottage.

Location, Location, Location and wonderful property.

Thank you Tim and Vanessa!!!! After a lazy Christmas, our new year stay at Cornerstone was the perfect start to 2019. The property really is set up to make the most of your stay and the surrounding area is beautiful. Avid Geocache explorers we found 25 caches during our stay. If the children had any steam left, we used the football pitch and tennis courts. (If you want to use the 4G pitch - don’t forget to book in advance.) When the parents needed to recuperate the spa was a stone throw away and/or just throw a few logs on the fire and get cosy! All in all, 2 families of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful refreshing time. Would we go back.... absolutely!

A lovely property in an idyllic Cotswolds location

Whilst Cornerstone is not one of the more luxurious properties on the lower mill estate, what it lacks in ostentatiousness it makes up for in homeliness. The owners are clearly very warm, generous people and it always feels like you are staying in their home. Cornerstone cottage doesn’t feel like a faceless business but friends letting you rent their place. Cosy, practical and very clean we’ve been back a number of times as it suits the needs of two families with kids perfectly and has the facilities we need in a holiday home along with some surprise extras which are the icing on the cake. Thank you so much Tim and Vanessa we love our regular visits to Cornerstone.

Cosy, clean and full of Christmas cheer

The property itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. The open plan living space was great for our group to relax and eat together. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch! The beds were very comfortable and the heating system worked perfectly as we could control individually from our rooms. The site itself is fantastic with lots of lovely walks and the estate spa was a great addition with large indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam room. The owners were really helpful and gave lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to visit and eat etc. Thank you for this We would all highly recommend!

Wonderful!

Lovely cottage and was very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Nice and warm and the log fire helped the cosy feel. It was nice to have a Christmas tree also the biscuits, Chutney and the champagne was a lovely touch! To have the spa and swimming pool onsite was great!

Peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

It was our first time here, 2 families with children. The house is large enough as to not feel overcrowded with 2 families. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is there for your arrival. Soap, shower gel, shampoo, dishwasher tablets, which in many places we found lacking. The bottle of Prosecco waiting chilled was very welcome after the stressful drive in the rush hour motorway. The place was very quiet despite being weekend, though admittedly it was outside the school holiday, so cannot comment what it feels like during school holidays. But the house was large, comfortable and the owners have made sure that we have every info before our arrival. They promptly replied to any of our questions, indeed they were pro-active and suggested things we have forgotten to ask. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Perfect place for a family weekend

Came for a family birthday with ages ranging from 70 to 7 and it was perfect for everyone. The house is lovely, the Normans provided excellent communication, the facilities are gorgeous and the location is great with a really good restaurant on site and a lovely local pub in the village. Highly recommend

Highly recommend for a relaxing family break

The cottage is lovely with everything you could need and a gorgeous decking area. The estate has fantastic facilities with two brilliant outdoor pools as well as sauna, steam, water sports, football pitch, tennis and some gorgeous walks. The onsite restaurant is really good and the local pub is nice too. Be sure to bring enough food or have your order delivered as the onsite shop is limited. It really was the ideal place for a family weekend for people from 0-70. Would return again and again!

It was a great pleasure staying at Cornerstone, Tim was always available for my questions. The property was described perfectly, very clean and well equipped too. Thank you to both Tim and Vanessa for giving myself & my guests such a lovely accommodation & for also aiding in giving me a perfect birthday. I will deffo be booking again In the future !!

Amazing place beautiful house and beautiful surroundings great experience from booking to checking in Tim could not be more helpful before hand making sure we had all the information possible we needed for the stay and also was on hand when we wanted to extend our checkout, could not of asked for a better choice of stay. Whole place is well worth a visit.

Enjoyed a family break celebrating a significant birthday for my wife. Spa and sports facilities are very good, great place to relax and just ramble around the lakes watching trout continuously leap from the water

Excellent stay

We had an excellent time at Lower Mill Estate. Cornerstone cottage is absolutely lovely, comfortable and perfect for 2 families with kids. It’s right next to the perfectly heated pool, tennis court, hire a bike/kayak/canoe and Somerford lagoon (where we went canoeing). Would highly recommend it. Thank you Tim & Vanessa.

Everything was very clean, the house was very well stocked and so cosy.

We were travelling around Cotswolds as a family of 6, with four adults and two young children. The hosts Tim and Vanessa took care of every detail to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Before our arrival, Tim and Vanessa were in constant communication with us, ensuring I had all the information needed to have a hassle free check in. When we arrived, everything was very clean, the house was very well stocked and so cosy. The kitchen had a lot of useful items for us to use which were all very accessible. They even provided us with a lovely chocolate box and welcome basket containing delicious snacks, coffee pods and Prosecco, a real unexpected and special treat. It was also very child friendly, with bathroom stools for the children, a small table and 2 chairs, games and children books, and plastic cups. The surrounding estate was also very scenic and peaceful, with 2 playgrounds for the kids. My kids were raving about their stay there, as were we. Thank you Tim and Vanessa!

The place had everything promised in the description, like a true English cottage. The bunk beds were perfect for the kids. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything was handy. Although it wasn't cheap, the price was typical for this area. We had a great time and recommend it for families!

We've stayed at a lot of nice holiday homes, but this one was stand-out.

My wife, daughter and some extended family have just had a wonderful stay here. The house is beautiful, spacious, well done out, well equipped and spotless. The surroundings are lovely - in a Cotswolds-style hamlet on the Lower Mill Estate, surrounded by water and nature. The house was lovely and warm. The wifi was the best I've seen in a holiday home. The house is very close to the Activity Hut where you can rent bikes, kayaks etc; next to it is an outdoor pool with lovely warm water. There's another, bigger pool at the spa, 5 mins walk away, that you get to use as well. Our hosts were really nice and very helpful; they also had an app for the house with tons of useful info. They left a range of goodies for us too 🙂 The estate is rather lovely - quiet, with lots to do and explore. It's sort of an upmarket holiday park, though that doesn't do it justice. The estate has an app too, which is very handy, partic the map. We've stayed at a lot of nice holiday homes, but this one was stand-out.

We spent a couple of days at Tim and Vanessa’s place, with our young family. Tim was incredibly helpful on the phone and very accommodating. The facilities on site are perfect for kids the tennis court and outdoor swimming pool are a 3 min walk away. The house was very homely and clean.

Had the most relaxing weekend getaway with the gals and the mums at Tim and Vanessa's cottage! Our first time in the Cotswolds! They went above and beyond in all aspects - even prior our stay they kept in constant communication with us, ensuring we had all the information needed for the cottage, the estate, food/restaurant options and activities around the area...then when we arrived, the house was very cosy, clean and the kitchen was very well equipped to feed 8 ladies who are massive foodies! The welcome basket was also a wonderful surprise to arrive to! The attention to detail really made us feel so welcome and well looked after! The surrounding estate was beautifully scenic and peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities and pools (even braving the eco pool!) I can't recommend Cornerstone Cottage enough - it was in such a perfect location and we will absolutely be back now that we've had a taste of what the Cotswolds has to offer! Absolutely loved it. Will definitely return. 8 adult family members stayed to celebrate a 60th birthday. Couldn’t have chosen better for our budget. Fantastic quality hamper in arrival with lots of goodies. The bunk beds were adult sized and the people who used them reported them to be very comfortable. All guest slept well in the peaceful location and comfortable beds. The Lower Mill Estate is beautiful and idyllic, very natural and full of wildlife. We are at Hullabloo restaurant in the Saturday and enjoyed a lovely meal. Tim and Vanessa were so responsive to us and helped us settle in by answering a couple of questions we had. Highly recommend!

A smashing week

We had a lovely time at Cornerstone Cottage.It's in a quiet corner of the large estate, which has enough attractions to keep 2 toddlers and an 8 year old fully occupied - football, tennis and swimming every day kept dad fully active. Despite chilly and occasionally damp weather, we swam every day - best of allwas the outside heated pool, 2 minutes walk from the cottage. the cottage itself was very comfortable, and roomy enough for 8 people. The kitchen was well fitted out, and we enjoyed the very nice welcome pack - including biscuits, wine, chutney and jam. Communication with Tim and Vanessa was excellent - they provided us with lots of information and dealt with a minor problem with the hot water promptly and efficiently. All in all, an excellent week

Anniversary break in Cotswolds

My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary at Cornerstone Cottage. It was lovely to have a decent kitchen to cook nice meals together, and a log fire to accompany a glass of wine! The pool and spa treatments on site made it a perfect little break - and we also enjoyed trips into Cirencester and picturesque Bibury nearby.

We had such a wonderful stay at Cornerstone Cottage for my special birthday celebration. Tim and Vanessa were excellent hosts, making sure that we had everything we needed. The house is clean,warm and cosy and well equipped for couples and families with young and older children. The peace and tranquility of Lower Mill in low season was lovely. Various swimming pools for the children and an excellent spa. we enjoyed our strolls and G & T at the Balihoo Club bar/restaurant on site. All in all a perfect birthday weekend and midweek break. Lots of space + comfy beds

We loved staying at Cornerstone Cottage. The large kitchen table meant we could all have nice evening meals together and there is lots of space on the sofas so we could all watch a movie together too. The beds were very comfy. And obviously having a selection of pools with walking distance of the cottage, was fantastic. We only stayed 2 nights, so I would love to come back and explore further as there is so much to do!
